Green Pastures Permaculture is a Christian regenerative land design and education nonprofit serving the Ouachita/Ozark region. We design properties that produce real food, restore degraded land, turn a real profit and stand the test of generations. We teach the principles that last for generations.
How to Get Started?
Every productive property starts with a sound design. We use LandScope design software and on-the-ground site assessment to build master plans, water management strategies, food forest layouts, grazing systems, alley row cropping/orchard design, layout, cultivar selection, and homestead infrastructure designs sized from a single acre to several hundred. Whether you are starting from raw land or improving what you have, a proper design saves years of costly trial and error. As Proverbs 24:27 says: prepare your work outside and get everything ready for yourself in the field, and after that build your house.
Education
Green Pastures Permaculture is built first as an educational nonprofit. We teach landowners, homesteaders, farmers, and rural families how to design and manage regenerative properties through free YouTube content, PDF guides, hands-on workshops, online courses, group mentorship, and the annual Permaculture Engineering Land Design Certificate program. Education runs from fully free to intensive multi-month cohorts, with scholarship assistance available for those who need it.
Land Design
Every productive landscape begins with a design that respects what the land already wants to do. We build full property master plans for landowners across Arkansas, from Tulsa, OK to West Tennessee, Springfield, MO to the Texarkana area integrating water, soil, perennial systems, animals, infrastructure, and dwellings into a single coordinated design. Concept-level designs up to 10 acres start at $3,500. Master plans from $7,500 to $25,000.
Watershed Management
Water is the master resource on every property. We build watershed and water management plans for properties from five acres to several hundred acres, using LandScope design software combined with on-the-ground hydrology assessment. Deliverables include water flow analysis, swale and pond placement, infiltration design, and contractor-ready earthworks specifications. Plans start from $1495 - $19,995
Health and Nutrition
The same regenerative principles that restore land also apply to the people working it. Mitchell Alliston is a Certified Nutritionist and Personal Trainer with 15+ years of growing real food. For clients who want to connect their land work with their own health, we offer nutrition assessment and coaching grounded in whole, real food and the same biblical stewardship ethic that shapes everything we do. Isaiah 58:11 promises that the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places: the work of the land and the health of the body are not separate things. Weekly couching calls start at $395/month, group rates available for whole teams or families.

Green Pastures Permaculture is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit. Our mission is to equip landowners, homesteaders, and rural families in the Ouachita/Ozark region with the knowledge, design tools, and practical skills to build productive, resilient, and regenerative properties. We believe that good land stewardship is a form of faithfulness, and that the principles God wove into creation are still the most reliable guide we have. As Galatians 6:9 says: let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
Every donation to Green Pastures Permaculture supports educational programming, scholarship assistance for workshop students who could not otherwise afford to attend, demonstration site infrastructure, and free content production for the broader rural community.
